About the Artist

I am a Canadian artist who has explored this country from coast to coast, finding inspiration in its people, landscapes, and the stories that connect us. I have always been drawn to art as a way of conveying feelings that words sometimes cannot express. A shared recognition, a memory stirred awake, or a connection between people whose lives may be worlds apart. Travelling by train across Canada has deepened my appreciation for the lives unfolding behind every window and reminded me how much we share, even in a world that can feel increasingly disconnected.

My work is an exploration of unexpected combinations, blending styles and genres to create something uniquely my own. I might pair vibrant watercolour blooms with the charcoal lines of an ancient ship, or transform a photograph of a home's exterior into a whimsical, storybook image. I am equally drawn to the natural world, where I find a solace I struggle to put into words. Through colour, texture, and experimentation, I continue trying to capture that feeling on canvas, hoping each piece brings me a little closer to expressing what I can feel but cannot quite describe.

Ultimately, I hope my art becomes part of someone else's story. Perhaps a piece will recall a treasured place, a person, or a feeling they thought they had lost. I love the idea that viewers may discover something entirely different from what I intended, finding their own memories and meanings within the work. To me, art is not simply something to look at; it is an opportunity to feel, remember, and connect.
